About grow

grow cluster, or grow for short, is the central contact point for start-ups and aspiring young companies in the region on the left bank of Lake Zurich. We offer customised laboratory and office space at attractive conditions and have a strong network of research institutes and universities. Our focus is on promoting companies and start-ups in the life sciences (health, food and environment).

Our support for you

We provide modern, customised laboratory and office space that can be flexibly adapted to the growth phases of young companies. We also connect you with research institutions and offer young entrepreneurs comprehensive advice. Our focus is on supporting companies and start-ups in the life sciences, particularly in the fields of health, nutrition and the environment. We work particularly closely with the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Wädenswil. The ZHAW has an excellent infrastructure and a lot of highly specialised equipment in the area of life sciences and on the “Future of Food” campus. These can be used by the grow companies by arrangement and subject to availability.

grow cluster and the grow foundation

grow cluster is supported by the grow foundation, which was established in 2004. The purpose of the foundation is to create excellent framework conditions for innovative young companies and start-ups in the life sciences sectors of health, food and the environment. This enables them to grow and create new jobs on the left bank of Lake Zurich.

Mission statement grow foundation

The main sponsors of the grow foundation are the city of Wädenswil, the municipality of Horgen, the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), Tuwag Immobilien AG and Zürcher Kantonalbank. They finance our operating activities directly and/or indirectly. We are also supported by property companies that rent space to our member companies.

grow has been registered as a trademark in the trademark register of the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI) since 30 January 2020.
