A development and research campus is being built near the A3 motorway on the former Frutarom site in Wädenswil. The Zurich property company F. Aeschbach AG is initially planning a building with 3,500 square metres of floor space under the project name “Säntisblick”. In future, the building will primarily provide space for start-ups and young companies from the start-up organisation grow. The entire site will gradually be built on, creating an incubator for life sciences companies of all sizes and further economic growth in the region.
Grow and F. Aeschbach AG are already working together successfully in Horgen. In Tödistrasse, around 3,500 square metres are currently being completed for three new member companies of the founding organisation. The extensions and conversions are nearing completion. “The companies were able to plan their space themselves and are thus receiving customised laboratories and offices,” says Prof. Dr Dolf van Loon, Managing Director of grow.
Design the premises yourself
In the “Säntisblick” project in Wädenswil, future tenants can also design their own premises. “Whether it’s a small start-up or a young company in the growth phase – we offer them spaces of 200 as well as 2,000 square metres,” says van Loon. The division into laboratory space for research or meeting rooms and offices can also be agreed in advance. The owners finance the expansion, the start-ups and young companies pay back the expansion through the rent without any additional expenses. Another advantage of the “Säntisblick” in Wädenswil: “Anyone who moves in here now can continue to grow on the same site in the future,” says the Managing Director of grow.
grow and F. Aeschbach AG are currently in dialogue with potential tenants so that construction work can begin in Wädenswil. As soon as a first, so-called anchor tenant agrees, work will begin. Depending on the start of construction, the first companies could move in as early as 2024, including tenant-specific interior fittings.
